From brief to your home, from my workshop on the Kent coast. Using characterful British hardwoods.

Bespoke commissions taken from across Kent and the South East, including Folkestone, Hythe, London, Canterbury, Tenterden, and beyond. Enquiries welcome from across the UK.

Design

Each piece starts with a conversation, establishing a brief in which revisions are completed until you are entirely satisfied with the design. Whether you're commissioning a dining table, cabinet, chair, or something entirely unique ensuring the process is collaborative from the start. All bespoke commissions include a design fee of 10% of the total piece value. Lead times vary depending on complexity and will be confirmed upon enquiry.

Material

We work with local sawmills and trusted suppliers of native British hardwoods, predominantly oak, ash and walnut sourced from woodland across the South East. We believe the natural character of solid wood, the knots, ripple figure, live edges should be celebrated rather than hidden. If you'd prefer a cleaner finish, just let us know at the start of your enquiry.

Production

Towards the end of the design process, if you wish to proceed, a production start date will be confirmed. A 50% deposit is required to secure your date and the materials for your project. Lead times for bespoke commissions from our Hythe, Kent workshop are generally 12 weeks, though projects can be completed sooner, get in touch as early as possible if timing is important. During the build you'll receive email updates at all key stages, including workshop photographs and videos. You're welcome to opt out of these, just let us know.

Delivery

Once your project is completed, the final 50% balance and delivery fee are required before your piece leaves the workshop. Delivery costs are confirmed at the start of the process, separate to project costs. We use a fully insured specialist courier for furniture delivery across the UK, or can arrange a higher-touch white glove delivery service for larger pieces which will all be discussed once we understand the scale of your project.
